29 yo

i've always hated people asking me when is my birthday. cos whenever i tell them 31 Dec, they all have the same reaction. "You Are Joking!, Come on, tell me the real date!". initially i will still try very hard to explain, even to the point of showing my IC. but as years pass, i merely replied with a "haha :P" and leave it as that.

on top of that, my birthday is a unique day where...... everything is costly! a buffet dinner at The Line which normally cost $88/pax will suddenly surge to $288/pax. Everywhere i go, the place will be packed with people, the traffic jam at CTE will be horrible. and when night time whole nation will be counting down.... to the end of my birthday. LOL

i like birthday celebration, but not of my own. haha i avoid them if possible. i always try to go oversea during my birthday period whenever possible. :P i do not really like people going through all the fuss over me.

But having said that, it felt warm to have people remembering your birthday. :) when the clock strike 12 midnight and you starts to receive all the "happy birthday" smses. The thought that people actually stayed up and waited till 12 am sharp to send you sms, never failes to bring a smile onto my usually stern face.

however i was not feeling well last night. and i actually fell asleep quite early, with TV and lights ON. This morning i wake up and discovered that there are about 23 "happy birthday" smses sent to my phone when the clock strike 12. and also a total of 11 missed calls. wah.... felt a bit guilty. so sent an apology sms to everyone. :)

Birthday wish this year will be that my mum have a speedy recovery. and..... WORLD PEACE :P

Thank everyone for remembering my birthday. and i am officially 29 years old from today on.... *quite sad* hahaha counting down to my big 30 liao. *double sad* LOL

Fish Soup

the past 1 week have been hectic as per usual.... however i made some time to catch up with some friends at a KTV on Xmas day evening. and they actually bought out a birthday cake just before i were to leave. And nope, my birthday is not 25th Dec. haha but somehwhere near.... haha am very touched. thanks to my friends. :)

i forgot to take pic of the cake before i cut it.... so erm.... hehe above is a pic of the salvaged version. with all ornaments taken off. :P its kindda tasty though. Once again, thanks to all my friends and for your well wishes. :)

Today late morning, someone wanted to buy me fish soup. so, end up, drove all the way from yishun down to amoy street.

The mackerel fish slice are exceptionally thick! and filled up almost the whole bowl.... flesh are juicy and soup are sweet... for $5.30 inclusive of rice..... definately worth it!

But if you do not feel like eating mackerel fish... a few store away... sells another fish soup but using pomfret fish.... and also super long queue.....

Peranakan Museum

Sorry i hadn't been updating my blog. i know there have been a "blog-lag" for close to 2 weeks. many things are happening at home at the moment. some rather bad. am going through a rather rough patch in life. things hadn't been that bad before.

however daily life continues. so anyway last weekend my office organised a outing trip. a Visit to Peranakan musuem. its located just behind the old Towel Club! i guess many people have been to towel club ( i hadn't been there before though, but its closed now) without knowing that a heritage museum is just right behind it.

anyway, its compulsory for the people in my office, so no matter how much i dun wanna go, still have to go.

The building is just located right beside substation. nothing special. but i tot the way the light shines onto building was simple beautiful. ya... a lot of us were wondering if Jeanette Aw will come out of the building, all dressed up in nonya clothes, to welcome us. Hell..... Nope. din happen. hahaha

A stone statue stands outside the building. its amazing how the details on the face looks so real.

spotted a few old photos in the gallery. do you know that there are more than 10 different types of peranakan in singapore? ya... and dun be deceived by Jeanette Aw, Joanne Peh.... based on all the old pics i have seen.... not all looks gorgeous. :P can you just imagine the people in the pic..... if they are the actors / actresses of "Little Nonya".....

Lately have been falling asleep with lights, PC, TV on! and worst... before 11pm~ and yet, even if i were to remind myself to sleep early, and are to remember to off the TV and stuffs.... i will still drift to dreamland UNKNOWNINGLY, that particular night! damn....

and seems like i also taken a hatred to loud music, loud noise and seems to like all forms of sounds around me to be soft and peaceful. just last night when i was in a car listening to radio, which was playing some heavy metal music, just made me roll my eyes. Last week when walking in Cityhall, the sound effect / music of the acrobatic performance gave me a headache...

at work, i seem to be always sitting at my desk clearing my work, almost as if the sight of "piled up work" is unbearable. Would also take a frequent walk over to my understudy workstation to remind him to do this and do that.

hmmmmm... is age catching up with me? are these signs of 传说中的老人症？？？

so must i start to anticipate the coming of....

Plant maintenance? and the continuous exercise / stretching of limbs movement?

Damn... i am getting old.... approaching 29! double damn.....

Are you shaved, trimmed, or "full bush"?

When i was younger, i always enjoy a guy with full bush. i always thought that the unkept messy pubic hair of a guy is very manly.....
