I know that fruits in japan cost much more than singapore. eg, i have a friend telling me that a Fuji apple cost up to $8 in japan.

yes the taste is definitely worth the price. it's intensely sweet and very, very, very juicy.
if you have it at japanese restaurants, they will typically charge 15-20 for a slice. considering that the whole fruit can yield you about 8-10 slices, it's not that expensive (of course that is if you are able to pick out the sweetest one lah).
