last weekend, i went and catch this movie "Painted Skin" in the cinema.
ya... i dun really have high expectation for local productions. but somehow, i thought the movie was not too bad.... quite beautifully taken. but i somehow thought that Zhao Wei really looks haggard in the movie...
Zhou Xun on the other hand (The fox spirit) looks innocently pretty. and she does know how to act.... its a maze to me that, dispite her talent and everything, she never made it as big as Zhang Ziyi.
The Male lead was not very convincing though... watching the love story between them, i keep picturing in my mind that, the Guy is a Bi who is torn between his wife and his male lover. hahaha maybe cos that guy looks too AJ. :P i dunno.
another thing i was wondering..... why was the movie even named Painted Skin? all that have been toked about the "skin" is that the fox spirit have to consume men's heart to keep it looking youthful... and only ONE single scene where the fox took off the skin. But with regards to WHY she have to take off her skin all of a sudden, deeply puzzles me. haha maybe the movie title Painted Skin just sounds nice? LOL i dunno....

Another movie that i very much wanted to watch will be the cartoon "Storm Riders". this was a remake of a highly popular hongkong comic. many years ago, it was even made into a movie, starring Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng. i have always been a fan of Storm Riders comic. so this cartoon is a DIE DIE MUST WATCH! haha
somehow there's something about the story plot of this comic, that makes you wanna probe deeper and deeper and continue to follow the story line. no wonder this comic is so big.. it is still on going. and already toking about the grandsons of the Lead charactor. haha
