the 3 sacred word that many couples have said, in some point, in their relationship. What is it about these 3 letter words that gives people stomach butterflies?
someone once told me that he was in need of such words to feel secure when a relationship.he seems to think that without the outbreak of these 3 words, a relationship never seems to be complete.
personally, when someone tells me that they like me, i usually will take them as "friends with possibility". The only time i will start to take them seriously, will only be the time when they tell me they love me.
not that i definately will accept anyone who tell me that they love me, but by hearing that they love me, it gives me the assurance that i require. it has assured that ,someone is fully aware of his feelings, and that he knows what he is doing.
although different people have different ways of expressing.
i once dated someone whose words are precious gold. wanting to hear "i love you", although is not impossible, but post dating for a few months, and i only heard it 2 times! when i casually bring it out to him... he was stunned. according to him.... he though that words are meaningless... and all these while, he have been trying this best to let his actions speak louder than words. and he asked me if i felt anything.
to tell the truth, yes i do... but like i said, i still need the assuring words to come out from someone's mouth to "Confirm" the signals that i had been receiving. (i'm shallow i know)
But i think those who knows me long enough, knows that... i'm a complicated person. i'll start to have doubts when relationship drags on for too long without a "i Love You". But hearing it a few times a day can get pretty irritating as well.
yes, i have also dated guys who are soooo in touch with their inner feelings that.... i hear them telling me every minutes that they love me. erm.. too much?!?! these are the times where i felt that the 3 sacred words are used too loosely.
advise to all: timing! say them once in a while, at the exact right moment. <--- Very crucial! though i must highlight that you very very seldom will hear me telling you that i love you. but then again, every man is built differently. and.. i really really really hates it... when after telling me that they love me, they asked "What about you?" i usually will only reply "Noted" (i'm selfish i know)
