i have been in and out of hospital recently. nope i am perfectly fine. just that my mum is still in hospital. Despite visiting her on a daily basis. can't help but felt guilty the other day.
my mum is a TV addict. so whenever i'm there, i will carry her to a wheel chair, and just push her to the TV lounge to watch TV. especially her Taiwan show. however, usually she will urge for me to go home earlier. so whenever i was about to leave the place, i will have to push her back to her ward, carry her onto the bed, tuck her in and leave.
Yesterday, after doing the same thing, i asked her, then what you will be doing? Sleeping? she replied me that she is not tired.. so she will just laze on the bed for a while. there's nothing much she can do on a hospital bed anyway...
i was overcome by a sense of guilt. i mean... i know that in the afternoon and night time when i was not there, she is bed-bonded. there;s nothing for her to do, except listen to radio on her handphone. and stare into space...
Thus yesterday i called up my eldest bro, told him i intend to get a portable dvd player for my mum. ask him for lobang a not. and... he offered to sponser half! hehe so end up today, i got my mum a portable DVD player with screen.
brought along some hongkong serial drama for her too. can see that she is happy. i mean... at least when she is bored, she can now watch DVD in the hospital.
this is the player that i bought. nothing superb though. but as its for my mum, thus user friendly is my top piority.

i actually wanted to get the one with a built in TV tuner. but was informed that the TV quality will not be good, as its using antenna. i tested one set on the spot. and discovered that the screen quality is quite good. sound is superb too. and it only cost $169. it even has a USB port and a Memory card reader behind.
i bought this in AMK HUB NTUC. okie lar. as long as my mum is happy, i'm happy :)
