There are moments in your life, when you feels that a certain person is important to you, thus you adopt a nickname for him/her. "Darlins", "Princess", "Ah Boi", "Meow Meow", "Old Man", "Ah Date" etc.
Nicknames are not always pleasant, but then again, when i got a nickname for someone, that mostly would means that, that person have a certain standings in my heart.

some of the more common wans would be:
"Dear"
"Dar"
"Luv"
i have dated quite a numbers of guys in my life. almost all have addressed me in a name that is new to me.
"Dear Dear"
"DearHeart"
"Dearie"
"Baby"
"Darlin"
"Ham ham" <--- stands for handsome :P
"Sweetie" and etc.
Nickname that someone used to call me quite frequently:
"小宝贝", haha cheezy i know. but there's a distinct way he calls it that makes you feels that you really are his treasure, when he says it.
The one that left me deep impression:
"PC". i remember that this guy usually will tok to his group of frens, and he will refer to me as "PC". so much so that all his frens thought that PC was my dialect name initials. so his frens refered to me as PC also. i think till now, after so many years, some of his frens still remember me as PC. Ran into one of his frens a few weeks back at Northpoint, and he still calls me PC. haha neither me nor him ever did explained what PC means actually. haha PC actually stands for Prince Charming. :P
so that's the 2 nicknames that people gives me that stuck a cord in my heart. :)
and... ya most of my close frens will know that i keep refering to someone as "Old Man". and many people had speculated about the age of "Old Man", which i never confirmed. haha okie. here's the shocking news. Old Man was only 38 years old then, when i started refering him to my frens as "old man". haha and ya... "Old Man" was the one who calls me "小宝贝". haha
Someone once told me, all along he thought that "Old Man" was this 50 plus year old married guy, whom i am living off his money. LOLLLL *in a way he's saying that i am a kept boi!* haha
