Mama Mia

Thanks to Wonderboy for the movie ticket.

I caught the show Mama Mia earlier this evening at The Cathey. must admit that i watch the show cos of the free ticket, and also because of Meryl Streep.

Its not a normal movie you see everyday. its a Musical Movie. something like Chicago. meaning.... you see the actors act a bit, suddenly breaks into a dance/singing routine.... then continue to act again. haha some of the singing scenes are a bit cheezy.

Kindda refreshing to see Meryl Streep acting in a movie as such. from start till end, her hair was like in a mess! haha her voice is quite good too. i mean, all the actors in the show sang the songs.

Halfway through the show, i remember i commented... "This show majiam a tribute for all the aunties and uncles. haha seeing all the aunties and uncles singing and dancing in the show." haha....

All the songs used in the movie were songs originally by ABBA. even if you are not from that era, but you would have at least heard some of the famous songs before. overall, i quite enjoy the songs.

Surprise of the day: Pierce Boston looks so Yandao~ (read: Yummy) haha but its obvious he cannot sing :P

i say... watch the show with not much expectations, and you shall enjoy it. its a comedy, with some very cheesy plots. but many people in the "full house" cinema seems to be laughing quite a bit.

Compilation of the best songs from the movie:

My theory: Any show with Meryl Streep, is definately a good show.

Is this her best performance? nope, but it sure is a enjoyable role for her i guess. but i think the ultimate performance by Meryl Streep is still "Miranda Priestly" from DEVIL WEARS PRADA. Her role in the movie totally caught my attention. her interpretation of the charactor, made me admire her. prior to that, i dun even know who is she. haha if you had not watched Devil Wears Prada yet... i recommend you to quickily go get the DVD~
